Sidney Joseph, PhD - Therapist
Independent Contractor - Anda Therapy Group
Dr. Sidney Joseph’s story begins on the Southeast and South sides of Chicago, where he was born and raised by parents who immigrated from Haiti in the early 1980s. Growing up, his mother consistently reminded him, “Education is a gift, and no one can take that away from you.” Inspired by this belief and the words of Elin Nordegren—“Education is one thing no one can take away from you”—Dr. Joseph came to understand the transformative power education holds in shaping a person’s future. This foundation sparked his desire to pursue higher education and open doors that would allow him to uplift others.
Fueled by a passion for social change, Dr. Joseph pursued a career in social work. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Concordia University Chicago in 2015, followed by his Master’s degree in Social Work from Chicago State University in 2017. In 2022, he proudly achieved his Ph.D. in Community Psychology and Behavioral Science from National Louis University.
Today, Dr. Joseph remains deeply committed to making a lasting impact on his community—providing hope, support, and inspiration to the next generation of leaders. He lives by a powerful personal motto: “Always try your best, even when it’s difficult, because we should strive to give our best in everything we do.” Through his work, Dr. Joseph continues to create pathways for a brighter, more equitable future for all.
